Exciting News!

We are all blessed every day with things, most are little things that we don't notice.  Sometimes we are lucky to experience BIG blessings! None the less, they are all amazing.  I found out yesterday that one of my closest friends and her fiance are expecting a baby! YES! Getting married before they hit this milestone would have been the best decision but I believe children are a gift from the Lord regardless of the situation.  Therefore, I couldn't be happier for them and I can't wait for the little one to be here so I can be an "aunt".  She thinks it's going to be a boy but I refuse to accept that so I'm hanging on to the idea of it being a girl.

Funny story to go with this, I went this past weekend to get fitted for my bridesmaid dress and proceeded to pay $135 for it as well.  Later that evening I received a call from her explaining how she thought she was pregnant and that if it were true they would be pushing the wedding back till May.  Well it's true and I have a bridesmaid dress that I hope still fits in a year when May comes around.

 The happy couple :)

In other news, I was also asked to be the Maid of Honor in another close friends wedding!! Exciting day :)

First Blog

I redid my blog, I have a new attitude on life.  All things are new and I'm beginning to discover the Grace of God that truly surrounds us all and I only hope I can share and pass this on to whomever reads this!  Life is pretty fantastic as of now.  Aside from the weather and pollen causing me headaches I honestly have nothing to complain about!  I plan to share my thoughts, opinions, wisdom, and what the Lord has shown me on here.

So, my first entry will be about what I have come to discover over the last few weeks and I am very happy with myself for overcoming my selfishness and insecurities!  Recently, the option to move in with my boyfriend (of almost 5 years) came up in conversation.  At first I was shocked and then became very excited.  I hadn't known that he had this in mind AT ALL.  It was a complete surprise.  The only thing, at this point, from keeping us from doing it was his parents.  We weren't sure how they would take it and if they would approve of our decision.  We decided not to take any measures toward it until we discussed it further with them.  We made a quick trip home and sat them down to get their advice.  Before I go any further I'll give you a brief description of them.  They're the most wonderful people I know.  Together they are rich in faith, funny to watch, and always mindful of each other.  They've been together for over 20 years and have brought each other to Christ our savior.  They continue to strive to be good Christian-Catholics and I trust their opinion more than anyone else's.  They always offer great advice and it's not just "their opinion" it's what the Lord says as well.  Anyways, we told them what we were thinking and they calmly explained to us why we were wrong.  The best things in life are what the Lord gives you and the Lord has brought me Peter.  You should admire and take care of what He has given you and we should be mindful with what He is asking of us.  To share a marriage bed with each other should be saved for, obviously, when we are married.  Not before.  It would be selfish for us to do otherwise.  Being married is a commitment in the eyes of the Lord, it's a holy union.  It was a long discussion and it would take forever to explain it all but it brought things to light and I now truly understand why we should wait to share that moment until we are together, it's meant for marriage which is indefinite. I also have statistics!!  with scriptures of course!  Peter and I are very confidant in our decision to wait and it will make all the more beautiful when it finally happens :)

These statistics are pretty interesting in my opinion.

Have a blessed day!
